OptiRamp Account Management System

OptiRamp Licensing Model

S&C offers licensing options to give the Client a choice in how to purchase, use, and deploy OptiRamp software. OptiRamp AMS (Account Management System) is a cloud based approach to activate and manage licenses across Client’s organization. AMS introduces standard software licensing and service model as far as offers, terms, and metering across product portfolios, making it easier for Clients to understand, purchase, and manage their OptiRamp licenses.

S&C offers two licensing strategies subscription and perpetual:

  • Subscription license: Software with the right to use for the length of the subscription term. The license is locked to the device and no additional annual fees are required to maintain support.
  • Perpetual license: Software with the right to use for an indefinite time. The license is locked to the device and additional annual fees are required to maintain support.

Both perpetual and subscription licenses and supporting services can be purchased in AMS transactions. Each subscription transaction maintains its own term length. OptiRamp subscriptions are available in monthly terms or in one, two, or three terms, based on the offer.

S&C offers the following method to deploy and manage Client’s licenses:

Product Activation Key (PAK) licensing requires Client to configure projects and servers individually. PAK licenses are acquired at the point of sale and activated through AMS. PAK licensing is giving access to cloud-based and On-premises servers.

Using AMS

  • You need to set up a AMS Account to use Optiramp Licensing. It is the centralized location where you can view users, register products, and manage your OptiRamp Licenses. AMS provides real-time visibility, current view and immediate insights into your software licenses, entitlements, and users across the organization.
  • Your AMS Account enables access to OptiRamp Knowledge Base.
  • After creating an Account, you can begin self-managing license deployments throughout your company using the cloud based AMS.
  • You as an account administrator can edit account properties, add and edit users and software modules, accept agreements, view event logs, and manage licenses for the entire OptiRamp account.
  • You can deploy the OptiRamp licenses and software modules using cloud-based download.
  • AMS provides a real-time monitoring and accounting of software use and light enforcement capabilities for overuse of licenses, subscriptions, and term expirations.
  • Software Modules stay in an “active” state as long as the subscription term is not expired.
