Statistics & Control, Inc., (S&C) seeks an area sales manager to join our team and perform the following job duties:
  • Promote the company’s products in order to meet the company’s sales goals and objectives.
  • Maintain continuous, active contact with customers within the assigned Territory and with the company concerning current and prospective customers.
  • Present information about actions and plans of governmental agencies and commercial and industrial enterprises that affect or can affect the company’s sales within the assigned Territory.
  • Write proposals for sales plan improvements and take an active part in the company’s sales strategy development.
  • Prepare and present customer initial data, questionnaires, and other information required for preparing of budget proposals.
  • Deliver company-prepared budget proposals and technical information to customers.
  • Analyze and deliver any and all  customer requests, demands, and claims, as well as take part in contract negotiations.
  • Manage project work of assigned engineering groups; ensure that engineering services are provided in a high quality, timely, and profitable manner within the defined Territory.
  • Coordinate project work with other company departments, participate and support company operational requirements, and provide technical support within the defined Territory.
  • Communicate with customers and all other company departments to meet project requirements and schedule within the defined Territory.
  • Plan and maintain business contacts, trips, and meetings with existing and potential customers within the Territory.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field.
  • 2 years experience in petrochemical industry and automatic control systems.
  • 2 years related sales and management experience.

Statistics & Control, Inc., (S&C) seeks a programmer to join our team. This position is ideal for both recent college graduates and experienced programmers. The programmer will participate in the entire life cycle of industrial automation applications development.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge and understanding website design principles and layout aesthetics
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue is preferred
  • Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery or Bootstrap
  • Experience working with C# and Microsoft .NET Framework is preferred
  • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties:

  • Define project scope and objectives, and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Perform design work for Turbomachinery Control Systems and Advanced Process Control technologies using our proprietary software and applications.
  • Use classical control theory, signal processing and regression analysis to facilitate automation of unit processes.
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks, and track and review vendor deliverables.
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Bring projects from the original concept to final implementation, ensure adherence to quality standards, and review project deliverables.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, system engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, computer science, or related field. 
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, chemical reaction engineering, process dynamics and control,numerical techniques and analysis, computer programming, and digital electronics.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in C++, Python, R, and data mining tools.
  • Experience in petrochemical industry and automatic control systems.
  • Ability to start immediately and work in a team environment.
